Hey there!

Well, i know that a lot of the webcomic authors and artists just do it for fun or are just starting.

Well, this is a very detailed news article posted at Deviant Art that gives some advice and links to tutorial while it explains some of the common mistakes made by people when making a comic.

This is good advice. I understand that it may not be considered a part of webcomic creation, but a well-designed website is important too.
